This food was very delicious, I love eating different kind of food each day that's why i have to come up with different meal to cook. Frying Dried Fish

.... inside the house doesn't work anymore. The first time i fried it, it was great did not smell or anything. The last time i fried dried fish the entire house smells and my crew did not like it at all hahahahha. So from now on i have to fry all these dried fish outside the house which is not bad since we have grill. My husband and my mother-in-law did a lot of boiling to get rid of the smell. They spray a lot of air freshener and luckily it went away. I have few more bag of dried fish to cook but i won't make it until summer that way it's not cold when i'm outside frying the dried fish. The smell of the fish is not very appealing but i am thankful that my husband do eat it. Because after it's friend the smell go away, it only smell while you are frying it. Jimmy bought us a lot of dried fish, and we are so happy. Yesterday me and my husband was talking about cooking some dried fish. Last night we had dried fish on our dinner, we also made some Italian and Mexican food. Three different international cuisine, it was my first time to fried dried fish since we moved in our house. I love how me and my husband cuddle, so i glad i found a man who doesn't mind cuddling. Sometimes my step-daughter will tell her dad, that no wonder she go to sleep .. you are choking her.. The way he put his arm around me makes me fell asleep so fast, i don't know why but it's been like that ever since we first met. I told him that i like to be hold and cuddle while sleeping and he does too so it works perfect on both of us. I must say there is nothing better in this world than my wonderful children and a great man to keep me happy. I LOVE MY FAMILY. My husband requested me to cooked his favorite dish. So i did.. I made pork adobo for him, then made rice, steam some veggies, fried some fillet tilapia and boiled some corn. It was a very delicious dinner, it took me an hour to prepare everything and i am glad that they all like it. There's some left overs for us tomorrow so i don't need to cook tomorrow for lunch at all. It's time i cook meal i always make sure i cook enough to last us the next day. With our busy schedule it's hard for us to cook everyday.. Tomorrow night i might cook something but not sure what though.. Mom made such a delicious dinner tonight. I was doing a lot of work here in the house, and so mom decided to make us a very easy meal. She made a ground meat with some mushroom soup and then some green beans oh golly it was delicious. While writing this post right now, my stomach is growling for more food. And i am thinking on eating again and probably share it with my husband. Yeah hubby loved mom cooking as well, mom is the best cook. My Homemade Meatloaf

This is how my meatloaf look before it was cooked. It was a lot of work but it was very worth it. This is my first time to make meatloaf and i am so glad it turns out really good. What can i say i love cooking, i look at few recipes and i always twist it to make it different and a little mine.

Just got this out from the oven and golly it smells really good. I wasn't sure how it's gonna turn after it was baked but i am very pleased with the result of this. It was heavy when i got it out from the oven. This was the biggest meatloaf i have ever seen hehehheheheh.

And of course we can't forget what's inside of my meatloaf.. I had to put a little decoration inside to make my meatloaf even prettier. This meatloaf is less fattening because i am using a different meat. The bacon was a great add of this recipes...

I found the recipe online however, i did not follow what they have as the ingredients. I used different stuff instead, then i added some veggies that i chopped very tiny.. Then of course my secret ingredients.. My crew loves the meatloaf, as my husband said this is the best meatloaf that he ever had in his life, we almost ate all of it. I am so glad how my meatloaf turns out, cannot wait to bake more meal. Each time i try different meals to experiment.

Just Being Lazy Today

Today i decided to just be lazy, since my back is still hurting i limit myself on what i can do. Although i can't really sit so long.. Sitting is one of my problem, the longer i sit the painful my lower back hurts. I think since i sat down i have moved so many times hahahahhaha. Today is my first Saturday day off and i am loving it. Smelling So Good

My food is smelling really good right now. I slow cooked a deer shoulder, then add tomatoes and few spices. After the meat was cooked and tender, i added carrots and celery. I cannot wait to taste this tomorrow, i slow cooked two shoulders, the other one i am gonna make BBQ. I love cooking and since i have no other things to do after working in our studio, i decided to make some meal that will last us for few days. I made stew the other day and my crew loves it. Then our friend Shawn made some vegetable soup. Then since we did not eat all of it, i put it in the freezer. It has been cooling down. And I love this weather. We are getting the house ready for winter. Its so nice outside all day long. But the afternoons are perfect to cuddle up on the porch swing. Every since it has been cooling down. I have been sleeping so much better. I feel more alive and rested when I awake. I wake up ready for work now. I just want to get outside. We had a late lunch today just because we are trying to finish a lot of work. Mom finished sorting the pictures that my husband printed and my hubby done editing the pictures. Today i finished the stupic for one of our school which is awesome, now i am just waiting for another school to send me their STI information that way i can start working on it. Scared of Bad Weather

This year has been scary for all of us here in Alabama and other states as well. We loss our one of our friend because of the tornado that hit Alabama few months ago. Looking back about what happened really scares me, it made me think about having a underground shelter here in our house just encase another tornado will come our way. Tornado is unstoppable and scary, is does kill a lot of people. Hopefully that there is no more tornado, it's hard to predict but hopefully it won't be as bad as last time. So i guess if we have underground shelter we all going to be safe.

The other night i made pakbet for our dinner .. this dish is a mix of different vegetables that we are used in cooking back home. I have not made this kind of dish so i decided to give my family a nice dinner. I also made Sauteed Bok Choy with beef, and of course the rice. Cooking is my passion so whenever i think something to cook i always do it. The pakbet turn out to be really good, as well as the bok choy. It's simple and healthy, it's very easy to make as well. My grandmother makes good food and so is my mom. I learned all my cooking skills from them.. Thank God mom and dad taught me how to cook when i was living with them. Now i love it.. Our schedule has been really busy here lately which is awesome. Today me and my husband are just working here in our studio putting some stuff together, ready to be printed. I am so happy that everything are finally coming all together slowly. After all the hard work that me and my husband put into our studio, i think it slowly paying as off. Our goal today is to have this lab going and then start printing pictures. Then aside from that we have few seniors students that are coming later on for their senior portraits pictures. My Busy Kitchen

Our kitchen is very simple and nice... it's like a new york style of kitchen. However, i love it a lot, especially when i am cooking because everything are there and i don't have to walk so far. Each time i cook meal i always make sure that i cook two different meal that way we have left overs for dinner. On this picture as you can see i have three things going on.. one of them is rice noodles, then stir-fry and of course the sweet tea boiling. When my mom told me about her green tomatoes and squash recipes, i asked him if he could make it. Few weeks ago she made it and golly it was delicious. I told her to make it again, these are good for appetizer or even for dinner with some grilled chicken. Since mom is living with us, i have been eating really good food. hmmm find waterproof cameras at the source and i am thinking on buying it. I think this would be perfect for our trip especially if it involved water. Me and my husband have different cannon camera but we never own any of the waterproof. We are a big cannon people, although our friends own nikon, but me and my husband is sticking to cannon. My Way of Cooking Fish

When i went to the Filipino store few weeks ago. I bought different kind of fish, some of them are the fish that are shown on the pictures below. I need to go back to the soon since i am out of fish. I have been cooking it like crazy lately hehehehhehe.

This recipe i found it online, they used a different cabbage, so i decided to make mine a little bit different. I put cabbage on the bottom of the pan, then put the fish on the top of the the stuffing that i made. Then added another cabbage to cover the fish. After doing all of that, i put all my ingredients then salt and pepper to taste.

When everything is done, this is how it looks without the cabbage on the top of the fish. The fish was really good, i ate most of it since my crew did not like the fish that much, which i already knew you know. I am just thankful that they respect my addiction of fish hehehehehhe. Me and my step-daughter went out and had a girls day. We went to eat at her favorite restaurant, then went shopping a little. There are few stores that we went today, the other store is our favorite. We end-up buying her a new dress, because she needed it. The store was rearranged a little, so we kinda loss while we went shopping. The maternity clothing was moved to the department where the junior clothing was in before. I guess it has been a long time since i really went shopping on these stores hahahahha. I have been wanting to learn Spanish since in my dialect i already have Spanish words you know. But i find it a bit difficult, i thought it's going to be easy but i guess now. I started off early to beat traffic. Went thru the local drive and got my morning coffee. Turned up the radio and just cruised. I try always to be a tad early. We husband is very much into deer hunting. When I first moved here I had never eaten deer before. He cook it and I feel in love with it. The kids would rather have deer than beef or pork. I cook with it all the time. I use it in all my recipes when beef or pork are needed. After realizing the health benefits from the deer Vs beef or pork. Me and my little princess just finished eating yogurt with granula. We love this kind of food for breakfast. It very light and good for your body. Sometimes we put some fruits and honey but since we are out of it, we just eat the vanilla yogurt with granula. Now we are both full.... easy and fast breakfast. My son is going to cook dinner for us later. He was gonna make some dinner last night but when i saw that we have enough soup for dinner. Since our friend told me about the Salmon patties, i have been so addicted to it. Today i made another Salmon patties that we can have for lunch. My husband loves this kind of meal, when i told him this morning that our lunch is going to be salmon patties he was like.... yummmyyyy.... We love simple meal, easy it is, and healthy is the best. I am so proud how we are with our food, me and my husband has been eating healthy food. From time to time there's some fried but rarely though. We have had a small hand held leaf blow for a years now. I think James' dad gave it to him. We took it to the shop right before spring. He told us we needed to start running high octane fuel. Since the quality of our fuel is so poor. But even after that the little blower died. James has for a long time wanted a back pack blower. He really would like a echo blower Those are the ones he looks at every time we are in Lowes. So I hope he spoils himself and go ahead and gets one. Better to buy once and it last for many years. Family And Friends

My husband And I are bless with great friends. All of my family are halfway around the world. So His family and friends became mine. James is closest to his mom. His mom and dad divorced when he was young. and he grew up with little contact with him. until he was in his teens. You can tell they care for each other but are not at each others side alot. James and his friends all are very close. If one is going thru something they all are there to help in anyway possible. I think he is closer to his friends than his bother. His is controlling and does not let him come around unless they need something. They use to be close but she put a stop to that. I can tell it bother James.
Thru this last round of storm we was going to be without power for 5 to 10 days. When James' dad heard that he ask if we could find a generator. James told him no where close had anything. a hour later he called back and told us he bought one. And said he needed one anyway. He was bringing it to us. And for us to use it til everything was back to normal.. That shocked us alot. We are not use to family acting like family.

We have been buy our son a herbal pill for his acne. It was working very well but he hates taking pills. And I kinda understand my husband has to remind us all to take our vitamins. Our dinner was really good, we all enjoyed it all. I steamed some rice, made some green, then corn, stir fry, and the grilled chicken that my husband made. Yesterday one of our friend stopped by at our house to drop off her grandchild to spend he night in our house. We got into taking what we gonna have for dinner, she then asked me if I had salmon patties, I told her I have not it yet but it sure sound Yummy. Glad I learned new recipe though hehehe.. while cooking last night I could not help myself not to get some bite of it. Lol.

Panic Time

Since the weather has warmed up. We have been staying outside more. And for some reason our street light has went out. We plan to call our electric company and have it repaired. But is got us to thinking about putting in some low scale outdoor lighting . So we can enjoy the outside even later into the afternoon. We are going to look into something that is solar powered. We want to add lighting with out a big increase to our power bill. One light outside just stop working so maybe putting new ones is a good idea.

Spring Break

Spring break for us means a time to catch our breath. This is the time we work on our landscape. It was a harder than normal winter. So there is a lot to do. The mower stopped working in the middle of winter. So only half our yard got cleaned. We have mowed and sweep it once. This week we will mow,weed eat,sweep, and spray round-up. And hopefully get the flower beds cleaned out. My husband wants to pressure wash the house and the studio. Then its back to business next week.

Me and my husband was talking the other night. We had over heard a friend of our talking about Selling Gold Jewelry .He did not wear. He was telling us how it was simple. He made a little over a hundred dollars. We had forgotten about it for a day or so. When we seen a commercial on Tv. Then the treasure hunt began. I had a lot of stuff from my ex husband that I would no wear. He had some from the 80s.. It was like finding money we did not know we had. So we are putting it in the mail. And going to wait on the money to come in.

Weather

More bad weather on the way.. The kids got out of school early. So I had to hurry home from a job. Cut off all the computers. And worked outside to make sure nothing blew away. Our area has been hit with bad weather over the last two years. We use to work right thru storms and not give it another thought. But we have learned our lesson. It is better safe than sorry. We get special guests every storm. My bother in-law and his two kids come over for shelter. His little one is a tornado on the inside of the house. We love them all. Just hope we can all make it thru the storms.

About time

I lived in Texas for about 2 years. And made a few friends there. While I was there a friend of mine got hurt on the job. She was a very active fun out going person. Played softball on the local church league. And was a asst soccer coach for her son team.She was working as photographer asst. And a contractor hired her to photograph a building site. When she went into one of the unfinished rooms a 2x6 board fell of a a make shift walk away. Hitting her in the shoulder and knocked her down. She suffered a dislocated shoulder . and a twisted ankle. and a broken camera. She has went thru two surgeries an lost her job. I finally talked her into calling Maritime injury . I think she deserves a nice settlement. So she can get her life back on track.

What A Day

This was a great day. We worked in the yard all day long. My husband went and got the mower from the shop on saturday. He loves that mower. He mowed and our son ran the yard sweeper. Our yard looks so much better now. Lexi rode the mower on her daddy's lap. Just like she did when she was a little girl. We took a long break and flow kites with the kids.

My Skin

My husband is very concerned about my skin. Because of my long time exposure to the sun. With no sun block or skin care products at all. In the Philippines we was not concerned with our skin. I have never worn sun block. But since I have been with my husband I have noticed skin damage and some discoloration on my face and arms. I promised My husband I would take better care of my skin. It is so nice begin with someone that truly loves and cares for me.
